<description>Native Magazine, a Nashville-based magazine that focuses on rad local happenings, recently contacted me about illustrating a map that would depict different parts of the city. I instantly fell in love with the idea and had a lot of fun creating the map below.

Native ended up using the map for a story in their March issue about the locations of B-cycles, a bike sharing system similar to redbox (swipe your card, grab a bike and ride!)

<description>I had the privilege of working on a logo and website for Haute Couture designer, Margaret Roberts. Margaret was trained at the Academy of Couture in LA and has a talent for fine detailing. Since she custom-makes all of her dresses, we decided that a logo with custom, hand-drawn typography was the best way to showcase her designs. I chose a coral and gold color scheme to echo the elegance found in her dresses.

You can see the site in mini-form below and in full here.

<description>I recently had the opportunity to do work for the anti-drug coalition at redpepper. We wanted to create a poster series that would draw attention to a prevalent source of alcohol consumption in teens -- the enabling parent.

The poster-concept was to very literally expose these adults. To do that, I designed a grungy and impactful poster with hand-drawn type and brightly-colored bottles of alcohol. I then physically ripped the middle section out of the posters, exposing these parents and leaving their empty, staring eyes. We (Carl Schultz and I) photographed the torn and layered posters to showcase the realistic shadows and tears.

<description>Showing someone your value isn't easy, especially through the mail system. First you have to get your audience to open what you're sending and then you have to get them to read it. I recently had the honor of solving this problem for redpepper. We thought if we could get our mail to stand out from the rest of the junk mail, we could attract some attention. A small, black envelope, completely opposite from the typical large white ones, was the answer.

Inside, you would find 5–7 case study booklets, belly-banded together, that unfolded in a strategic way to lead you through the promotion. Infographics were used to help explain the promotion results and actual imagery from the promotion drove it home.

<description>The agency I work for, redpepper, threw an event for the marketing leaders of the Nashville/ Atlanta region and I got the opportunity to design the invitation. The event took place at a restaurant that boasts of their Northern-Italian authenticity. We wanted to create something that would entice people enough to attend the actual event, where they could experience a world-class sommelier, old world music, handmade pasta demonstrations and other authentic Italian traditions.

The invitation helped boost the event's authenticity: Northern-Italian wine, out-of-print Italian coins (the Lira), original chocolate and a map of the motherland were packaged and hand-delivered to marketing professionals. A digital save the date hinted at what was to come, while creating a sense of mystery.

<description>Working at redpepper, means measuring succes with tangible and provable results. Information graphics make promos easier to understand and clearly show our results-driven strategy.

Here are a few infographics I've designed for redpepper:
The first is a print-intended graphic for Beeri, a clever piece of technology that redpepper designed. Siri texts “pour me a beer” to Beeri’s Twitter account and a remote-controlled RC car pours one for you.

The next 4 infographics were designed specifically for the redpepper website. They showcase results from various client case studies, including Southern Pine Awareness, RedKap and Kirkland's. They are meant to be similar in style but unique in color, imagery and presentation of results.

<description>This is a logo and website I designed for a stylist that does work for The Raconteurs, Dierks Bentley, The Fray, etc. Her name is Kelly and she’s from Baton Rouge, LA — hence the company name B.R. Louise. Her style is all about that bohemian chic vibe, which naturally makes its way into her work.

The logo uses watercolors to create a magnolia, the state flower of Louisiana. The soft brush strokes and colors help portray the delicate nature of the flower while alluding to the beauty found in imperfection (which Kelly is a big fan of).

Check the site out below (in mini-form) and here in full.

<description>Freak Show is a brewhouse that I concepted, branded and packaged. The defining characteristic of the brand is the connection Freak Show makes between acts at a circus and beer. To stay true to these characteristics, I designed each label in the style of a wood-type poster, typical of old circus acts. The large, bold typographic treatment on the labels allows the spotlight to be on the predominant flavors in each beer. Unique vintage bottles match the personality of the beer contained.

Freak Show currently crafts the following four types of beer:
Strong Man Stout // Bearded Lady Lager // Fire Eat Wheat // Wild Gypsy Cider
